First CureSearch event!

We had our first non-walk event with CureSearch on February 22: a Grizzlie's hockey game.

I am pleased to report that (at least while I was there), it was very successful! We had about 7 families and were able to get a sponsor for their tickets, then also sold quite a few tickets through out link.

I think it's interesting to be on the other side of "nothing without us for us," where I'm working with volunteers who don't have experience in the childhood cancer world, trying to do things for this community that I have been a part of for so long. I'm trying to connect with the community here, because I'm really more connected with the Wisconsin community, but I'm still a little on the outside, since I'm a sibling and not a parent or caregiver. After all, the experience of a 12 year old older sister is much different than that of a caregiver or parent.

I am trying my best, and I'm looking forward to where the rest of this journey will take me.
